and CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Signature Mouthguard
Type 3 ProPlusGel
To help you get the
best from your Signature mouthguard, please follow these easy directions.
Note: DO NOT USE WITH ORTHODONTIC BANDS
Fitting Instructions (read thoroughly FIRST before implementing)
Please
note that Adults must supervise the fitting of this mouthguard.
Do
not place this mouthguard in a microwave oven.
If
you are experiencing discomfort or pain in your mouth, contact your
dentist before fitting.
- Place the mouthguard
over the upper teeth to test for size.
- If too long or
uncomfortable, carefully trim with scissors to fit, following
the trim lines.
- Practise pressing
the mouthguard firmly to the roof of the mouth with tongue, whilst
biting gently on the mouthguard.
- Place the mouthguard
into near boiling water for 15 seconds. DO NOT HEAT ANY OTHER WAY. Remove with a fork and shake water off.
- Once cool to touch
insert mouthguard into mouth and bite firmly to obtain an even bite
impression. Do not bite through the mouthguard.
- While the mouthguard
is in position, suck the guard into place by exerting pressure with
the tongue against the roof of the mouth.
- Using your fingers,
mould the mouthguard around the side of the teeth.
- Finally, remove
the mouthguard and immerse in cold water.
- Thoroughly dry
the mouthguard.
- Carefully open
the sachet labelled "PRIMER". Pour contents into mouthguard
and spread evenly with your finger. Gently shake off any excess
and dry your finger.
- Obtain a flat,
flexible mixing utensil (e.g. paddle pop stick or blunt knife).
- Carefully open
sachets labelled "Part A" & "Part B"
onto a flat clean surface (e.g. a plate) and keep them separate.
- Thoroughly mix
"Part A" & "Part B" together
for 15 seconds.
- Place ALL the
mixed GEL evenly into the SENIOR mouthguard.
14a. Use ONLY
Two Thirds of mixed GEL for JUNIOR mouthguards
- Place mouthguard
into your mouth and bite firmly but not hard. Keep this position
for 4 minutes.
- Gently take the
mouthguard out of your mouth with two hands and rinse for 30 seconds
under lukewarm water.
- Trim off any excess
GEL with scissors. (DO NOT PULL OFF EXCESS GEL)
- For your protection
the GEL does not glue/stick to the mouthguard shell.
Care Instructions
- To maintain normal
hygiene, you should rinse the mouthguard in cold soapy water after
each use.
- Store mouthguard
in the box supplied.
- Do not use solvents
to clean.
- Do not place in
boiling water or leave on parcel shelf of car.
- Your mouthguard
is made for you, do not let others use it.
- Your mouthguard
has been designed for one season's use. For optimum benefit you
should replace your mouthguard every season.
WARNING
Signature mouthguards
cannot stop accidents or damage being done to your mouth. They can,
however, lessen damage and in many cases protect you from serious
damage to your teeth.
We strongly advise
that you take every possible precaution in all your activities including
wearing protective clothing and headgear and observing recommended
safety guidelines issued by sporting bodies etc.
