All
Signature Professionally Prescribed Custom Mouthguards are constructed
under the direct supervision of Mr Michael Burns RDT.
Each
mouthguard is constructed using highly sophisticated thermo-forming
techniques allowing a more accurate matching of the mouthguard to
the client's dental anatomy which amongst other things leads to:
- better
fit and retention
- greater
comfort
- improved
speech
- superior
protection
This
process also allows a lamination technique to be used which incorporates
a number of layers of material being formed over each other providing
superior strength, protection and design flexibility.
There
are five levels of Signature professionally prescribed custom mouthguards.
 |
Sport
MG Back to top..
A twin
layered product, featuring increased protection in the labial
and incisal regions.
|
|

|
Junior
Senior Back to top..
Essentially
the same products but in youth and adult sizes. They share
common safety features of the Sport MG but include 2 other
important features:
- a customised
occlusal surface to provide even and widespread contact
with teeth from the opposing jaw
- the addition
of a roll or bumper of material on the outer edge of the
biting surface (occlusal table)
The combination
of these two features has proven to be highly effective in
preventing lower jaw fractures.

 |
Martial
Arts / Boxer Back to top..
This guard
includes all previously mentioned features but can be further
customised for specific individual needs through the use of
a third layer of production material.

 |
Signature
Professional Back to top..
This is the
pinnacle of the Signature Type 4 technology. Not only are
all the features of the previous types present, but a highly
sophisticated sandwich technique is used which provides for
a layer of optimal quality polycarbonate to be formed between
the two outer layers of EVA mouthguard material.
It is this
type of mouthguard which has been chosen by the Australian
Rugby Union Team (The Wallabies – current world cup champions),
the majority of The National Rugby League (NRL) level players,
the Australian Mens and Womens Hockey Teams and the German
Mens and Womens Hockey Teams to name but a few.
