Mr Peter Burns RDT - Founder and Chairman
Peter Burns is the co-founder of Burns and Burns Dental Laboratories Pty Ltd and Signature
Mouthguards Pty Ltd. Peter trained in one of Sydney’s larger full service
laboratories. Published in numerous publications including Dental Outlook (the official
publication produced by the Dental Health & Research Foundation) his specialist skills
include crown and bridge, boutique dentures and vast thermoforming experience. His
techniques are the basis of many courses and lectures worldwide.
Peter is also the designer and inventor of the initial Type 4 Signature mouthguard which
when launched in 1993 marked the latest and most advanced generation of prescribed custom
fabricated mouthguards available on the world market. He is the inventor / owner of
numerous patents and designs registered worldwide. Peter also received the 1989 Australian
Design Award for his design work on mouthguards, and is a past National President of the
Australian Commercial Dental Laboratories Association.
Through Peter Burns' leadership and quest for excellence, Signature Mouthguards continues
to hold its place as the World's most technologically advanced mouthguard manufacturer.
